In technical diving, every centimeter of cable is a potential failure point. The mkDive FOVEA Spot was born from a German Engineer from the need for a primary light that offers the power of a canister system with the streamlined profile of a handheld. Especially for Sidemount divers, the internal battery backend removes the ‘cable clutter,’ allowing for a perfect, snag-free silhouette in tight restrictions.

Why own two lights when you can have one adaptable system? Our unique interchangeable backend allows you to customize your setup per dive. Use the internal module for maximum mobility or connect the external adapter to power your mkDive FOVEA Spot through your existing E/O cord canister or one from mkDive.

True 5° Spot & Wide 120° Video Light
The mkDive Fovea SPOT combines a 5° beam with a smooth, ultra-wide 120° video flood. The tight spot cuts through murky water for crystal-clear team signaling, while the separate LED ring floods your field of view for perfect underwater filming. Toggle them independently or run both simultaneously for ultimate visibility.
Maximum Modularity
Archiving maximum modularity you will get an interchangeable dive light lid:
- Cordless Independence: Drop in 4x standard 18650 Li-Ion cells for a self-contained, lightweight, canister-free dive to convert the mkDive FOVEA Spot to a Cable-free Sidemount light.
- Corded Endurance: Swap the lid for a standard WAM-Cord and connect it to your external canister for virtually unlimited burntime and drysuit heating compatibility.
3S and 4S Accutanks from various Manufacturerers like YellowDiving, SANTI, SEAYA are supported.
Zero Battery Dependency
The mkDive Fovea SPOT doesn’t force you into expensive, proprietary battery systems. The internal frame holds standard, unprotected 18650 Li-Ion cells. You can swap them yourself at the dive site in seconds. BMS and Charging Port is included.

- 32-Bit Microcontroller: Active thermal management prevents overheating on deck and protects your LEDs.
- Piezo Switch: Mechanically simple and ultra-durable. Responsive and dead-simple to operate, even with heavy dry-gloves. No magnetic rotating rings that can jam with sand.
Radically Intuitive Handling
Straightforward solution for Goodman-Handle operateable with one hand. Made out of aluminium.
Redundancy
The light head is completely sealed and separated from the battery compartment, protecting the sensitive electronics even if the battery compartment floods. To prevent water ingress in the first place, the battery housing is sealed with two redundant O-rings for maximum safety.
