Light

Spot: A 15W LED with a tight 5° beam. This gives you a clear, focused beam to see far ahead and communicate with your team.
Video Ring: A separate 20W LED ring provides wide, even light. It is designed to fill the area in front of you with natural colors, which is useful for documentation or simply better orientation in dark water.
Both lights can be used independently or together.

Power & Flexibility
The light offers two ways to power it:

Integrated Battery Pack: The head holds four standard, user-replaceable 18650 lithium-ion cells. You can swap the cells yourself – no need to send the light in for battery service.
External Battery Tank: For longer dives or when using a heated drysuit, you can connect the light head to an external battery canister. It accepts standard 3S or 4S configurations.

Operation & Build

Control: An electronic piezo button turns the light on and off and switches between modes. It works reliably even with thick dry gloves.
Thermal Management: The electronics monitor the temperature. If the light gets too hot (e.g., running it in air), it automatically reduces power to protect the LEDs.
Construction: The housing is machined from aluminum and rated for deep diving.

The mkDive Fovea SPOT is a tool for demanding underwater environments. It focuses on modularity, user-serviceable parts, and straightforward operation.

Integrated high-tech 32-Bit Microcontroller for Power-Control and Temperature Sensing

Durable

Many modes of light brightness allow precise adjustment of power output. Piezo switch placed on the top side of the light head is very easy to operate. Simply press it – works well when pressed by wet or dry gloved hand. Switching between modes is immediate. When switch is in off position light head does not draw any power.
